The results of Tuesday’s elections have yet to be determined. As Americans continue to wait on who will be the next President, questions about when they’ll receive more stimulus money and more aid during the ongoing coronavirus pandemic form a backdrop to the political tension. How would each candidate address the economic and health crisis facing the country today?

“After the election, we’ll get the best stimulus package you’ve ever seen,” President Donald Trump said Oct. 27 in a press briefing, assuming that he would be re-elected. The final results are yet to be decided.

Meanwhile, negotiations between Democrats and Republicans paused last week resulting in no additional relief before the election. Trump and Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden have both called for more money to help those affected by the pandemic
